Our emphasis on science ensures success with the highest standards. Aerobiological Solutions Inc (ASI) been engaged in microbial remediation in the Washington DC area since 1997. We have performed service at federal buildings, office buildings, medical facilities, schools, museums, historic register sites and homes. Science We follow the latest scientific literature and maintain contacts with research academia and commercial microbiology labs. Our field observations have become groundbreaking research with biocides. We also talk to EPA officials frequently to avoid scientific/ legal misinterpretations and discuss gray areas of interest. We can provide the services of a PhD Microbiologist who specializes in toxin-producing germs for expert-witness testimony. Results We use quality control methods to provide accurate results in a timely manner that will withstand scientific scrutiny. Some methods are rapid biochemistry testing or samples viewed under a light microscope (air and tape-lift samples). We use an AIHA EMLAP certified lab. We make every effort to stay on schedule and hold down costs. Investigation/Evaluation/Sampling ASI performs building evaluations, testing for microbial contaminants such as mold, bacteria and viruses using current technology to assess IAQ and AIHA certified labs for environmental microbiology. Assessing environment for microbial contaminants is complex. We use technology to the fullest extent for assessment. It is important for anyone engaged in remediation to understand logical testing, building sciences and microbiology. This helps avoid confusion that may arise from poor understanding of the environment to be remediated due to a variety of situations. We don’t just find problems. We offer solutions. Remediation Protocols Protocols based on investigation can be written for remediation of any IAQ situation. ASI provides oversight for implementation of protocols to ensure the plans are followed, avoiding costly mistakes that can come from confusion. Remediation Services ASI can perform remediation services. ASI can also act as project manager for contractors familiar with our techniques, or assist clients in choosing contractors based on our experience from the field. ASI has contacts in most areas of America. Different situations demand different contractors due to environmental factors such as asbestos containing material (ACM). Rapid testing techniques are used for assessing cleaning methods before independent post-sampling to avoid cost overruns and ensure the environment is returned to normal levels. ASI works with other consultants such as physicians, toxicologists, industrial hygienists, engineers and HVAC companies. We can address small residences to large facilities. Insurance Coverage ASI carries Commercial General Liability (including Microbial Remediation); Pollution Insurance (including Microbial Pollution) and Professional Errors and Omission Insurance (including Microbial Consulting). Check to make sure any contractor or consultant you use has proper insurance coverage. Greg Weatherman:
This designation requires verifiable experience and passing a "closed book" test. He is the point of contact for field work. He attended various colleges to pursue an eventual science degree. He decided to pursue entrepreneurial interests rather than complete a science degree. He started using rapid biochemistry testing in 1998 when he was looking for a way to assess remediation procedures and biocide effectiveness in real time. He has attended the McCrone Research Institute to study microscopy for the identification of fungal and pollen spores for Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). Marcia Cash is the point
of contact for electronic technology, administrative matters and logistics.
She has spent significant time in the field from crawlspaces to buildings
supervising technicians, sampling and investigating. She has
also written technical information for bids that are open to competition.
